Safety in the industrial estate is an issue of concern these days. It is a fact that we have not been able to check the thefts or burglary in spite of every company having its own security systems. The Police Station Sinnar has suggested the option of “Gram Suraksha Yantrana” (City/village Security System) for security of the Industrial estate. The Gram Suraksha Yantrana in the jurisdiction of Sinnar Police Station is successful in checking and controlling the incidences of thefts and burglary. Indian Railways is using the system very effectively as well.

Benefits of The Gram Suraksha Yantrana for the Industrial estate:

  • Effective communication system with all security personnel
  • Reduction in incidences like theft, attack on security personnel possible
  • Creating peaceful and terror-free environment in the Industrial estate possible.


How does The Gram Suraksha Yantrana work?
Every security personnel will be given an identity number of The Gram Suraksha Yantrana.
In case of theft or any untoward incidence, the concerned security guard can immediately
intimate all the security guards in the Industrial estate. He will be able to resist the incidence
with the help of security guards from other companies.


If every company in the industrial estate participates in The Gram Suraksha Yantrana, it will be possible to create peaceful and terror-free environment in the Industrial estate.

How can the companies participate and use The Gram Suraksha Yantrana

  • Register the phone numbers of all its security guards, security officers, (directors if required), with The Gram Suraksha Yantrana.
  • Keep the same mobile numbers of security guards at the gate on change of shift, without changing that number.
  • In case of any incidence, security guard to call The Gram Suraksha Yantrana on toll free number 1800 270 3600 ( AAA Help) and report the incidence and wait for help.
  • In case of report of any incidence in other company, the company should send at least one security guard to the place of incidence.



Indian Railways


Indian Railways has a practice to blow siren in the event of an accident, in different siren codes as per the type of the accident. The ART/MRV employees and officers can estimate the nature of the accident by listening to the siren. However, it does not give precise information about the accident. So the officers in the control room have to answer several calls asking for the same information, resulting in delaying the rescue operation.

Considering this situation, we have already provided the Automatic Siren System with SMS to the Indian Railways, which is operative at various places. Still it gives just the nature of the accident by SMS, not the precise information about it. It does reduce the work of the officers in the control room to some extent, yet they are busy giving information about the accident, over telephone.

To overcome this, we have started Voice Calling Sytem for Disaster Management. This enables the officers in the control room call all the related employees and officers at the same time, in just one phone call.


Benefits of the system…

  • The officers and the employees will get the precise information of the accident.
  • As there will be no incoming calls asking for the information, the officers in the control room get sufficient time to address other important tasks.
  • It will reduce the stress on the officers in the control room.
  • It will eliminate the possibility of not hearing the siren due to noise pollution.
  • It guarantees the information as the call keeps redialing till it is not answered.
  • Instant report generation gives the data about who has received the information.

How it works…
When the officer in the control room gets the intimation of an accident, he would call the toll free number 1800 270 3600 from his/her registered mobile number and record the information necessary to be passed on to others, and would disconnect the call. Within the next 3 minutes, all the officers and employees would get a phone call and would hear the information about the accident in the officer’s voice only. Till the officer or the employee does not answer the call, the number will get redialed. (In case of a missed call, the information can be heard dialing the same phone number. ‘optional’) Complete detailed report will be sent to the officers in the control room on demand.


Schematic and Preparation :

  • The Railways should register Phone numbers of one or more officers in the control room, as numbers authorized to call. Messages from these numbers only will be accepted.
  • The mobile numbers and land line numbers of all concerned officers and employees should be listed in the system, and verified and updated every 15 days. One list can be prepared for one division. There is no limit to the numbers in a list.
